TCL Communication has launched BlackBerry KEY 2 LE at IFA 2018 event. The smartphone is a toned-down version of the BlackBerry KEY2 launched in India for Rs 42,990 last month.
BlackBerry KEY2 LE comes in two variants – 32GB and 64GB priced at $399 (Rs. 28,320 approx.) and $449 (Rs. 31,870 approx.) respectively. It comes in Slate Black, Champagne Gold and Atomic Red colour options and will be available globally beginning next month.
The smartphone comes with some security features like BlackBerry Privacy Shade and BlackBerry Secure Android. There is DTEK by BlackBerry App as well to enable users to automatically view how apps may be accessing personal data and manage permissions appropriately.

BlackBerry KEY2 LE has a touch and type physical QWERTY keypad and it comes with 4.5-inch (1620 x 1080 pixels) display with 3:2 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered with 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 636 14nm Processor with Adreno 509 GPU.
The smartphone has 4GB RAM, 32GB / 64GB internal storage and expandable memory up to 256GB with microSD. KEY2 LE runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) and it comes packed with 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
For the optics, the BlackBerry KEY2 LE has a dual rear camera of 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, dual-tone LED Flash and a 5-megapixel secondary rear camera with f/2.4 aperture. For the front, it has an 8-megapixel fixed focus camera with selfie flash.
It has various connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4 & 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 LE, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm Audio Jack and FM Radio. The smartphone measures 150.25 x 71.8 x 8.35 mm and the weight is 156 grams.
