IFA which is considered as Europe’s biggest electronics festival is just a couple of days away. This year’s IFA 2016 is to be held between September 2-7 in Berlin, Germany. Usually, a lot of flagship devices get released during this event. And this time too, a range of flagships are expected to be unveiled. Here we have listed all those smartphones which are expected to be launched at the event.
Sony Xperia X Compact & Xperia X2
This year, Sony has released a bunch of smartphones with the most famous being the Xperia X. If recent rumours are to be believed, the company is now expected to launch a compact version of the Xperia X as well as a new flagship called Sony Xperia X2. As per rumours, an unknown device is expected with Snapdragon 820 processor, 3GB RAM, a 21 Megapixel rear and 12 megapixel front camera as well as a 5.1 inch Full HD display; this might be the much rumoured Xperia X2.
Samsung Gear S3 and Galaxy Tab S3
The Korean giant is another company which will be making a mark in this year’s IFA. Traditionally, this event was where Samsung used to unveil the Galaxy Note 7 but this year the company is likely launch its new smartwatch Samsung Gear S3. Additionally, we won’t be shocked if Samsung also releases the highly anticipated Galaxy tab S3.
Huawei Mate 9
Huawei is expected to launch a smartphone primarily designed for women. On the other hand, the highly rumoured Huawei Mate 9 is likely to be unveiled with 10nm Kirin 970 Chipset which is Huawei’s own processor. It is also likely to have fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port and 3,000 mAh battery.
Huawei Nova
The Chinese smartphone maker was earlier expected to bring its flagship Mate 9. But recently one of its executives was quoted as saying that the company will instead bring a new mid range series. As per reports, Huawei will be launching two smartphones – – Nova and Nova Plus – under a new Nova series, along with MediaPad M3 tablet.
Moto 360 Smartwatch
After launching the Moto G, Moto Z and Moto E, Motorola will not be revealing any new smartphones. However, the new Moto 360 version will be highly welcomed as Motorola has been quite successful in the wearables segment with earlier launched Moto 360 variants.
Asus ZenWatch 3
Other than the Moto 360, another smartwatch which is likely to debut is Asus’s ZenWatch 3. The company recently confirmed this when it tweeted: “The time for something incredible is now!” with a hashtag #IFA2016″.
LG Flex 3
For those who were waiting for the highly anticipated LG V20, IFA 2016 will not see the launch of the first phone running Android Nougat out of the box. There will be a separate event for the same and will happen in first week of September. Rather, LG is expected to release some other devices including the LG Flex 3. Recent rumours suggests that the LG Flex 3 will come with a 5.5 inch screen with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution, 4 GB RAM and 16 MP primary camera.
Lenovo
Recently, Lenovo released a teaser revealing laptops, bendable phones and various interesting devices including a mysterious keyboard. The teaser caught a lot of attention and it will be interesting to see what Lenovo has to offer in this year’s IFA 2016.
Acer
IFA has been one of the favourite events of Acer when it comes to launching new products. Though there haven’t been much information regarding any of the products, rumours has it that the company is up with something and it might well be a new ultra-thin laptop. Acer is also likely to introduce a gaming smart-watch and fitness bands.
