Idea has launched a premium segment device, ULTRA II, and a budget device, Idea !d 1000, for its 3G network supporting circles. Idea ULTRA II flaunts a 5.5-inch LCD display, an 8 megapixel rear camera along with an LED flash and 2 megapixel front camera. The phone also supports the video-conferencing facility and promises great audio-visual experience. Idea has powered the ULTRA III with a quad core 1.3 GHz mobile processor and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
This Dual-SIM smartphone packs a 2500 mAh powerful battery. It also features a Ultimate Power saver mode that claims to provide 75 extra battery run time. Idea ULTRA II is available in white and electric graphite colours. Priced at Rs 12,500, the Idea ULTRA II will be available in Idea’s major 3G markets – Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra & Goa, MP & Chhattisgarh, Haryana, UP West, and UP East.
The new budget Idea !d 1000 features a 3.5-inch screen and is an entry level 3G smartphone aimed at first time smartphone buyers. It is powered by a dual core 1 GHz processor and runs on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean version. With pre-loaded social networking applications, this smartphone enables one to be connected to most social networking services.
This dual-SIM Idea !d 1000 packs a 2 megapixel rear camera and has internal memory of 4GB along with an expandable storage slot that can accomodate a micro SD card of up to 32 GB capacity. Priced at Rs 5,400, this smartphone will be available across Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra & Goa, MP & Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, UP West and UP East.
Both smartphones are expected to be sold in Idea 3G network supporting circles and will have to compete with freshly launched Nokia X and Motorola Moto G.
