After recently announcing a prepaid plan of Rs 595, Idea Cellular has now announced another new prepaid plan of Rs 295. It has been introduced to compete with the Airtel prepaid plan of Rs 299.
Telecom Talk reports that the Idea Rs 295 plan comes with a validity of 42 days. It offers 5GB of 2G/3G/4G data for the entire validity period of 42 days and 100 SMSes per day. After users exhaust the 5GB quota of the data before 42 days, they will be charged at 4p/10KB. For the voice calls benefits, Idea has come with a capping of 250 minutes per day and 1,000 minutes per week. All these benefits are valid for 42 days from the date of recharge.
As far as the calling is concerned, like the Rs 595 plan of Idea, users will be charged one paise per second afterfinishing the daily quota of 250 freeminutes till midnight. In case, Idea user exhaust 1000 minutes in a week limit, one paise per second will be charged for the rest of the period. Furthermore, Idea users have to dealwith an additionalcondition as well – they can make outgoing voice calls to only 100 unique numbers in any period of seven consecutive days. After that period,one paise per second will be charged for the rest of validity of recharge.
In comparison, the Airtel Rs 299 prepaid recharge plan offers unlimited voice calling without any FUP limit. Additionally, it also offers 100 SMS per day and comes with a validity of 45 days.
Idea recently announced a Rs 75 pack for prepaid users. With this pack, Idea is offering its customers 1GB of 4G/3G/2GB data, 300 minutes of voice calling and 100 SMSes. The pack carries a validity of 28 days.
