India’s 3rd largest telecom operator, Idea Cellular today rolled out its 4G services in India. As of now Idea has launched the 4G services only in major towns in South India but promised to offer the LTE services in all towns and cities in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana by March 2016.
Airtel was the first operator to launch its 4G services in India and now it covers more than 300 towns in India. Vodafone earlier this month rolled out its 4G network, starting from Kochi, Kerala. It is also testing its 4G network in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata.
However, all eyes are now on Mukesh Ambani LED Reliance Jio which has pan India 4G license and it is expected to launch its services very soon. Just today The Mobile Indian was informed that RJio is procuring 4G devices from ZTE and Yu ahead of the launch of its 4G services.
