iberry set to bring cheapest tablet to India for Rs 6,999

iberry has announced an entry in the Indian tablet market with the plans to launch India's cheapest 7inch and 10 inch tablet on 10 Oct.

Iberry, a Hong Kong based tablet device manufacturer, is soon going to launch two tablets which will be the cheapest in India.

“Among the tablets include a 7 inch model which will be made available for just Rs 6,990, while the other 10 inch model is priced at Rs 14,990. Both the devices will carry a 1 year warranty which will be valid all across the country,” Mustafa Kamal, the spokesperson of the company, told The Mobile Indian.

The 7 inch, BT07 tablet will come with 1.2 Ghz ARM Cortex A8 processor, 512 DDR2 RAM, 4 in built storage, HDMI output and USB support. The 7 inch display will feature an 800 x 480 and a resistive touch based input system. For enhanced web experience, the deice will feature Flash 10.3 support and for better gaming support it will has a Gyro based motion sensor and OpenGL ES 2.0 as well.

Meanwhile, the 10 inch BT10 tablet will also feature a 1.2 Ghz processor, 3G / 2G support, 6 point capacitive touch based display with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, 512 MB DDR2 RAM, 4 GB in-built storage and HDMI output. The BT10 also gets Flash 10.3 support for web browsing and video streaming. For better gaming support it will have a Gyro based motion sensor and OpenGL ES 2.0 as well.

Both the devices will be based on 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system and will be capable of handling up to 32 GB of expandable memory via Micro cards. Also the devices will get a mini USB on the go port support that will allow them to connect devices such as pen drives and other peripherals to the tablet without any problems.

Till now, Beetel has the distinction of having the cheapest Android tablet in India. The Beetel Magiq tablet, which was priced at Rs 9,000, has impressive specifications like a 1 GHz processor, 3G support with calling, and front and rear cameras. In fact, Beetel had reportedly run out of stocks of the tablet forcing users to wait for 2-3 weeks early this month.

Meanwhile, iberry said that it will launch the two devices in India on October 10. The devices will be available through the online retail network and the retail sale partners throughout India. The company is offering a 1 year comprehensive warranty for the devices which will be handled by company’s service network throughout India. The company has also set up a toll free number for service network for easy and reliable servicing for the buyers.
