Indian handset manufacturer, iBall has introduced its first Android smartphone in India. The handset, named as Andi 2, is priced at Rs 9,999.
The iBall Andi 2 has a 3.5 inch capacitive touch display and is backed by a fast 800 MHz processor. There is a 3.0 megapixel rear camera and a VGA front camera.
For connectivity, iBall has provided Bluetooth, WiFi, GPRS and 3G capabilities in Andi 2. The dual SIM phone comes with with dual stand-by feature. Besides, it has also a 1450 mAh Lithium-ion battery, 3.5 mm jack, and microSD card support.
However, the iBall phone comes with the older Android 2.2 Froyo operating system. The company should have fitted a latest version of Android operating system as currently Android 4.0 is available and since most handsets in Rs 8,000-10,000 range comes with Android 2.3.
