World’s second largest smartphone manufacturer, Huawei has announced that it will introduce an AI-powered real-time cinema effect with its upcoming flagship series – the Mate 20 Pro. The device will feature support for adjustment of hue, saturation, and brightness, providing the fundamental and essential elements of the video.
The Chinese manufacturer is leveraging the powerful AI processing capabilities so that the upcoming Mate series smartphone will be able to be used for professional filmmaking. Upon its release, the Mate 20 lineup will feature pre-set modes such as AI Colour, Vintage, Fresh, Suspense and Background Blur.
Additionally, the Mate series will also be able to identify and isolate the colours of a subject by desaturation everything else, thus bringing a visual impact for a cinematic feeling. The next Huawei Mate will feature videos with the classic 21:9 movie ratio and AI HDR to create immersive videos of superior clarity.
There’s an Ultra Wide Angle Lens powered by Leica offers an equivalent of a 16mm lens on a full frame sensor. The ultra-wide angle lens enables users to capture an impressively wide perspective even within the confines of tight spaces.
To recall, Huawei’s latest device, the Mate 20 Pro packs 6.4-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED Display with a screen resolution 3120 x 1440 pixels. The phone is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset with up to 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage and runs on Android 9 Pie based EMUI 9.0.
The Mate 20 Pro comes loaded with a triple-camera setup at the back inside a square-like ring and features a 40MP primary Wide-Angle lens coupled with a 20MP ultra-wide sensor and 8MP 3x telephoto unit. Users get a wide range of shots including macro photography at 2.5cm and 16mm-270mm of focal length range.
