Lately, the smartphone crowd has had different views as to what they want the most in a smartphone but the most talked about thing is how fast a smartphone charges to the brim. While Qualcomm supplies the widest number of devices, OnePlus’ Dash Charge has gained enough traction which has recently been outdone by Oppo’s Super VOOC charging on the Find X Lamborghini Edition.
According to DealInTech, Huawei’s next generation Fast charging technology outdoes every other adapter in the segment with its upcoming Super Charge adapter. The Chinese manufacturer is working on a charger that will have a maximum output of 40 watts, that’s as much as double the power that’s supplied to the P20 series.
Modelled as HW-100400C00, the adapter has already passed through certification site 3C and will be configured to supply power at 10 volts and 4 amps. While this doesn’t differ from the time Huawei bundled a 5V/8A charger to supply the same amount of watts to the Honor Magic, the latest technology will be able to charge a phone to up to 90 percent in under 30 minutes. That’s faster than OnePlus’ Dash Charge which charges a device to 60 percent in 30 minutes.
While it’s when Huawei will be releasing such a technology, the fact that its Mate 20 series is expected to release in October means, it’s likely we’ll see a new Super Charge adapter before the end of 2018.
