Huawei won’t be launching Huawei Mate 9 or the Mate S2 on September 1 as expected earlier, according to a report.
GizmoChina, which claimed this, has quoted a Huawei executive saying so. Instead, as per the website, Huawei will launch a new mid-range smartphone series. The Huawei executive has not revealed anything about the new series, but claimed that the Mate series smartphones will be launched within next two months.
Earlier Huawei Mate 9 was found on GFXBenchmarking website. As per the listing on GFXBench, the Huawei phone has a 5.9-inch that has full HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution and 5 finger gesture support. Besides as per the listing, it has HiSilicon Hi3660 (Cortex A53) 2.6 GHz octa-core processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage out of which 52GB is reserved for the users, ARM Mali T880 GPU and Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
Further, the phone is listed with 12-megapixel Autofocus camera and an LED flash in its rear panel. There is an 8-megapixel camera in its front for selfies. The GFX listing shows that the device has connectivity features like Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and WiFi. As per the listing, the device has accelerometer, gyroscope, light sensor and Proximity Sensor as well. In the listing, there was no information about its expandable storage or battery capacity.
