Soon after launching two flagship smartphones, Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus at an event in London on 6th April, Huawei has silently announced Huawei P9 Lite in Russia yesterday. Earlier, a Russian website, Hi-Tech Mail.ru, also spotted the handset and posted its images on its website.
Huawei P9 Lite features a 5.2-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and is powered by Octa-Core Huawei Kirin 650 processor. The P9 Lite runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Huawei Emotion UI. It is packed with a 3000 mAh battery. It has a fingerprint sensor on the back as well.
Huawei P9 Lite comes in two variants, 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM, with 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up-to 128 GB via a micro SD card. The smartphone boasts 13-megapixel rear cameras with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers 4G/LTE, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS/A-GPS, NFC and USB Type C.
Huawei P9 Lite will be available in both Gold & Silver color variants. Price and availability of the device is further expected as Huawei has not revealed information on this.
