Huawei has started rolling out a new update to its flagship, Huawei P30 Pro, smartphone in India. The new update brings a host of new features to the camera department of the phone.
To start with, the new update finally brings the Dual-View mode in the camera interface. The mode is meant for shooting videos, which basically splits the viewfinder to incorporate two camera feeds. However, unlike other smartphones that uses front and rear camera, the mode uses the telephoto and main camera to capture a video. This gives an option of a wide and zoomed view while shooting a video.
Another feature that has been added is AR Measure. The mode uses phone’s Time of Flight (ToF) 3D camera module to measure length, height, volume and area of the object. It can measure the height of a person. The company claims that the App can even measure the height of multiple people in the grame and it has a margin of error of only 1 per cent.
To recall, the smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 71,990 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option. The Huawei P30 Pro sports a 6.47-inch OLED FullView Display with a Resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.
In terms of optics, the smartphone features a Leica Quad Camera setup which combines a 40-megapixel primary camera with 1/1.7-inch Huawei SuperSpectrum Sensor and f/1.6 (27mm) lens, a 20-megapixel ultra-wide-angle secondary camera with an f/2.2 (16mm) lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with an f/3.4 (125mm) lens, and a Time-of-Flight (TOF) camera. For the front, it features a 32-megapixel SuperSelfie camera on the front for selfies and video calling.
