Huawei Nova 5T announced with Kirin 980 SoC, 48MP Quad cameras

Huawei Nova 5T comes featuring a 6.26-inch Full HD+ FullView LCD display with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels and a hole punch cutout.

At the “We Are Nova Fashion Showcase” event in Malaysia, Huawei has announced the Huawei Nova 5T smartphone with a Kirin 980 processor, quad cameras, side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 32MP hole-punch camera, as expected. The Huawei Nova 5T will be available for a price of RM 1599 (approx. Rs 27,260) in Malaysia from September 7.

The Huawei Nova 5T comes featuring a 6.26-inch Full FullView LCD display with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels and a hole punch cutout. The device is powered by a Hisilicon Kirin 980 clocked at 2.6 GHz and coupled with a 720 Mali-G76MP10 GPU. The phone is available in a single 8GB + 128GB storage configuration.

In terms of camera, the Nova 5T equips a quad-camera setup at the back with the combination of a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture; a 16-megapixel Ultra Wide Angle lens with f/2.2 aperture; a 2-megapixel 4cm with f/2.4 aperture; and a 2-megapixel depth of field sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The camera unit is accompanied by an flash, phase detection and CAF. There’s a 32-megapixel front camera with an of f/2.0 which resides inside the punch-hole display.

Huawei Nova 5T

The Nova 5T runs on 9 Pie with the company’s EMUI 9.1.1 interface on top and is backed up by a 3700mAh battery that supports Huawei’s 22.5-watt SuperCharge fast charging. The 22.5-watt SuperCharge technology can charge the phone to up to 50 percent in 30 minutes.

The device comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include Dual VoLTE, WiFi, 5 LE, and a USB port.

Huawei Nova 5T will be available in Mid Summer Purple, Crush Blue and Black colour variants for a price of RM 1599 (approx. Rs 27,260) in Malaysia. The device will be up for pre-order from August 29 to September 5 in Malaysia and will be on sale from September 7.
