Huawei is expected to launch its latest smartphone Mate 9 tomorrow (November 3) at an event in Munich, Germany. The event is scheduled to start at 2PM (CET).
The mate 9 may be launched in three variants- 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage, 4GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage, and there will be a premium model carrying 6GB of RAM with 256GB of internal storage. Regarding the pricing, Huawei Mate 9 is expected to be priced at $480 (Rs 32,012) for 64GB variant going up to $700 (Rs 46,682) for 256GB variant.
Huawei Mate 9 has gone through series of leaks and rumours in the past, so we are now more or less aware of what to expect from this device.
As per previous reports, the Huawei Mate 9 is said to feature 5.9 inches Neo-IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and will be protected with Corning Glass 4. Underneath the hood, it will sport Huawei’s own Kirin 960 octa-core Chipset and will come with Android 7.0 is pre-installed. Moreover, the Kirin 960 chipset is said to consist of four Cortex-A73 cores and four low-power Cortex-A53 cores and it will be clocked at 2.6 GHz. The chip is also expected to be manufactured using the 16nm process and there is ARM Mali T880 GPU for graphics
On the camera front, it is likely to come with dual rear camera setup, one being a 12-megapixel sensor and the other one will be a 20-megapixel sensor. Moreover, Mate 9’s camera setup expected to feature dual-LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 4x optical zoom, laser auto-focus, hybrid auto-focus feature, contrast focus and depth focus.
Further, the smartphone is also said to house a fingerprint scanner, which will be placed on the back panel of the phone. The Mate 9 rumoured to be powered by a huge 5000 mAh non-removable battery, with the fast-charging feature. Besides, the smartphone will offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), WiFi Direct, WiFi hotspot, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.2,GPS/A-GPS and GLONASS.
Mate 9 will be available in four different colour options- Champagne Gold, Moonlight Silver, Space Gray and Mocha Brown.
