As reported earlier, Huawei is expected to launch Mate 9 smartphone on November 3 at an event in China, along with Mate 9 Pro. Huawei Mate 9 has gone through series of leaks and rumours in the past. Now according to a new report published on a tech website ‘GizmoChina’, the Mate 9 likely to come with dual rear-camera setup, one being a 12-megapixel sensor and the other one will be a 20-megapixel sensor. Further as per report, the smartphone is also said to house a fingerprint scanner, which will be placed on the back panel of the phone.
There is one more post published in another tech website, called PhoneArena, which suggest that the mate 9 will have three variants- 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage, other with 4GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage, and there will be a premium model carrying 6GB of RAM with 256GB of internal storage.
As per previous reports, Huawei Mate 9 is expected to come with 5.9-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 resolution) Neo-IPS LCD display. Underneath the hood, it will sport Huawei’s own Kirin 960 octa-core Chipset and will come with Android 7.0 is pre-installed. Moreover, as mentioned previously, the Kirin 960 chipset is said to consist of four Cortex-A73 cores and four low-power Cortex-A53 cores and it will be clocked at 2.6 GHz. The chip is also expected to be manufactured using the 16nm process and there is ARM Mali T880 GPU for graphics. Moreover, Mate 9’s camera setup is said to feature f/2.0 aperture, 4x optical zoom, laser auto-focus, hybrid auto-focus feature, contrast focus and depth focus.
On the other hand, Mate 9 Pro is almost similar to Mate 9 in terms of specifications except that it will come with a Quad HD resolution display and dual-curved EDGE screen up front.
Regarding the pricing, Huawei Mate 9 is expected to be priced at $480 (Rs 32,000) for 64GB variant going up to $700 (Rs 48,600) for 256GB variant. While the curved edges Pro variant might have a price tag of as high as $1,300.
