Huawei announced its latest Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10 Porsche Design smartphone with Android Oreo. Now, the company has confirmed that it will bring the latest Android update to its Huawei Mate 9 and P10 series.
Huawei Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro will get the latest EMUI 8.0 based on Android Oreo in three to four weeks after the Mate 10 series hit the shelves, while the P10 and P10 Plus will receive the update “in the near future”. Further, Mate 9 won’t get the real-time smart scene recognition features, which is there in the Mate 10 series, but the update will include many other AI features.
The company has ditched EMUI 6 and 7, instead, it unveiled EMUI 8.0. The user interface will get fewer visual changes, meaning that it will look similar to earlier versions of EMUI. However, there are some incremental changes under the hood. Huawei claims that performance of the latest UI has been improved by 12 percent.

To recall, Huawei introduced its new Mate 10 series at an event in Munich. The Huawei Mate 10 is priced at €699 which is approximately Rs 53,412 and it comes in Champagne Gold, Classic Black, Pink Gold and Mocha Brown colour options. The Mate 10 Pro comes with a price tag of EUR 799 (approx. Rs 61,054), while the special edition Porsche Design Huawei Mate 10 comes with a price tag of EUR 1,345 (approx. Rs 1,02,776).
