Huawei Mate 8 announced with Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Huawei Mate 8 comes in two versions - one with 3GB RAM and the other with 4GB RAM.

Huawei has took the curtains off its latest flagship, the Huawei Mate 8, at the ongoing Consumer Electronic Show 2016, Las Vegas (USA). The device has been announced in two models – one with 3GB RAM and the other with 4GB RAM. The Huawei Mate 8 is priced at 599 Euros or approximately Rs 42,972 for the 3GB RAM variant while the 4 model to cost 699 Euros approximately Rs 50,190.

The Huawei Mate 8 has a 6 inch full IPS display and comes with 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system on top of which lies Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI). The smartphone is armed with the octa-core (2.3 GHz 4 x ARM Cortex A72 + 1.8GHz 4 x ARM Cortex A53) Huawei Kirin 950 processor which is clubbed with Mali T880. Huawei Mate 8 features fingerprint sensor below the rear-facing camera at the back and has two SIM card slots.

For storage, the Huawei Mate 8 offers 32GB of built-in storage with 3 GB RAM and 64GB of built-in storage with 4 GB RAM with an expandable micro SD card slot. This handset comes with a 16 megapixel rear camera with flash and a 8 megapixel front camera. The smartphone offers 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, NFC and a port.

Moreover, there is a 4000 non removable battery in the Huawei Mate 8 which measures 157.1 x 80.6 x 7.9mm and weighs 185 grams.

The Mate 8 comes in Moonlight Silver, Space Gray, Champagne Gold and Mocha Gold color options and will be available initially in a few countries globally including Germany, France, Australia, Spain, and Mexico.
