Huawei at the IFA 2018 event announced that it will be launching its latest Huawei Mate 20 series on October 16. The company has revealed that the upcoming smartphones will be the first to be powered by Kirin 980 chipset.
The company will be hosting an event in London on October 16 to unveil its latest Mate 20 series. The brand is expected to launch Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro at the said event. It is also reported that the company also introduce a Lite version of its latest series.

As per earlier leaks, the Mate 20 Pro is expected to feature a triple-camera setup, which could be an upgrade to the one present in Huawei P20 Pro. The smartphones are reported to feature a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED screen with a Pixel resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. We already know that both the devices will be powered by the latest HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset, which is build using a7nm process. The phones are rumoured to come up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
Interestingly, both the smartphones will run on Android 9.0 Pie, which might be based on Android 9.0 Pie. The company has already introduced the latest EMUI 9.0 during IFA 2018. The latest user interface comes loaded with a host of interesting features like GPU Turbo 2.0, Natural UX design, new swiping gestures, Password vault among others. The company is expected to roll out the beta version of the latest EMUI 9.0 for Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, P20, P20 Pro, Honor 10, Honor Play pretty soon.
