Huawei Mate 10 is now official with 5.9-inch Quad HD display, Android Oreo and dual rear cameras

Mate 10 sports a 2.4 GHz Octa-Core Kirin 970 processor with Mali-G72 MP12 GPU for graphics and gaming.

Yesterday, at an event in Munich, Huawei has finally unveiled its one of the most rumoured device – the Mate 10.

Mate 10 was aggressively rumoured since many days with Huawei itself releasing teasers showcasing what Mate 10 will be capable of. The Huawei Mate 10 is priced at €699 which is approximately Rs 53,412 and it comes in Champagne Gold, Classic Black, Pink Gold and Mocha Brown colour options. The device will be available for sale in November in over 15 countries, including Australia, China, Egypt, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain and more.

Jumping straight into the specifications, Mate 10 comes with a huge 5.9 inch Quad 2560 x 1440 display with the pixel density up to 499ppi. On the inside, Mate 10 sports a 2.4 GHz Octa-Core Kirin 970 processor with Mali-G72 MP12 for graphics and gaming. The device comes with 4GB RAM, 64 internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB via micro sed card slot. The device has a fingerprint sensor on the front below the screen.

There is a new engine which offers real-time scene and objects recognition. This basically helps in choosing the perfect camera setting for any environment or focal point. The AI engine also helps in translate text, voice, and images in 50+ languages.

Coming to the camera, Huawei Mate 10 features Leica powered dual-camera setup on the back, accompanied by an flash. The Mate 10 comes with dual-camera set up one being a 20-megapixel (monochrome) sensor and the other one being a 12-megapixel (RGB) sensor with f/1.6 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, CAF, Laser AF, OIS, video recording. At the front, there is an 8-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 and 1080p video recording capabilities. Huawei is known to give good cameras in smartphones and with Leica partnership as we saw in the Mate 9, the game will only improve.

Now for the battery, Huawei has given a 4000 battery which is non-removable with super fast charging. The device comes running on 8.0 Oreo out of the box with EMUI 8.0 on top. Connectivity options such as hybrid dual sim, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, v4.2, GPS, and USB connector. The handset dimensions are 150.5 x 77.8 x 8.2mm and it weighs 186 grams.
