Huawei is all set to launch a new smartphone on July 14, called Maimang 5. Yesterday only, Huawei sent the invitations for the July 14 event in China with a teaser image of the Maimang 5 that also contains a slogan that says, “not afraid of what the young,” or better put “not afraid of being young.”
As per the TENAA listing, the Huawei Maimang 5 has a 5.5-inch full HD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, a 2.0 GHz Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor and 3/4GB RAM. It offers 16/32G/64 GB of internal storage, 128 GB expandable storage slot, a 16 megapixel rear camera, an 8 megapixel front facing camera and a 3270 mAh battery. Huawei Maimang 5 comes with fingerprint sensor on the rear and has a premium build quality with metal body.
The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with EMIU 4.1 running on top and the images reveal that it has a silver, pink rose, and gold color versions. Connectivity options of the device include dual SIM, 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS/A-GPS and a Micro USB 2.0 port. The phone is 151.8 mm tall, 75.7 mm wide and 7.3 mm thin and it weighs 160 grams, according to the TENAA listing.
The availability of the device is yet not known, but officially it will be announced on 14th July. As per rumors, Huawei Maimang 5 may carry a price tag of 1,999 CYN or Rs 20,158 approximately.
