After announcing the launch of Honor 10 GT Edition with GPU Turbo technology, Huawei is currently seeding its latest breakthrough technology to its flagship P20 series. A week after rolling out the same to the Honor 10 smartphone, the Chinese manufacturer is releasing an update to the P20 and P20 Pro device that feature the latest GPU Turbo technology.
While releasing a rollout schedule last week, it’s interesting to see Huawei not only follow up on its promise but outdo the same. Earlier, the company stated that it’d soon employ 2000 beta testers to verify the update for the P20 series but it seems that Huawei has started rolling out the update to all users of the P20 series smartphones.
Distinguishing itself as build number EML-AL00 8.1.0.150 (C00), the update can be accessed upon logging into the member service App and then heading over to the service tab. Though the update isn’t on beta phase, Huawei is rolling out the feature for users who opt to upgrade as part of an early adoption program, which can be done through the member app.
GPU Turbo promises enhanced gaming and power consumption by limiting 30 percent of the battery by still offering 60 percent more performance in return. An extended rollout is expected to happen across all markets by the end of the month considering Huawei has outdone its rollout schedule. GPU Turbo is currently available on the purchase of the Honor Play, Honor 9i and Honor 10 GT.
