Huawei Honor 8, Honor 8 Smart, Holly 3 launched in India

The Honor 8 will be exclusively available at Flipkart and Amazon along with the Honor store from 3.00pm onwards, while the other two will follow soon.

Huawei today announced three smartphones for the Indian market that includes Honor 8, Honor 8 Smart and Holly 3.

Honor 8 would be available in the Sapphire blue along with Pearl White and Sunrise Gold colors at a retail price of Rs 29,999. Honor 8 Smart will be available in black, white and gold colors at Rs 19,999 while Honor Holly 3 will be available in black, white and gold colors colors at Rs 9,999. Notably, the Honor 8 will come with 2 years warranty and a touch screen replacement guarantee in the first three months.

Note that only the 4 model of Honor 8 that has 32GB of internal storage has been launched in India and it has been listed on Amazon.in as well. In China, Honor 8 was launched in three variants- one with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage is priced at CNY 1,999, another with 4GB RAM and 32GB at CNY 2,29, and the last one has 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, and cost CNY 2,499.

The Honor 8 comes with a 5.2-inch full (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display, 2.3GHz octa-core Kirin 950 (ARM Cortex-A72 4 x 2.3GHz + ARM Cortex-A53 4 x 1.8GHz) processor and Mali T880-MP4 GPU. Besides, the smartphone has optional storage for up to a 128GB micro SD card. The smartphone runs on 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and offers a customised interface – EMUI 4.1. A 3000 mAh battery is in the phone that claims to deliver talk-time of up to 17.5 hours and standby time of up to 380 hours on networks.

The noticiable aspect of Honor 8 is its dual rear camera set up – both the cameras are of 12 resolution (monochrome + color). A dual-tone flash light is in the back too. The primary rear camera has f/2.2 and Laser AF. In its front lies an 8-megapixel shooter with f/2.4 aperture has been provided for selfies. The camera has features like Screen-lock snapshot, Virtual aperture shooting, Night shot, Professional Mode, Beauty mode, Food mode, Panorama, HDR, Watermark, Light painting, Time-lapse, Slow-motion, Audio note, Document scan, Capture smiles, Touch to capture, Sound Snap, and Delayed Shot. Further, the main camera & secondary camera support 1080P(1920*1080, 30 fps)FHD video recording.

Like all new age devices, the Honor 8 also comes with a fingerprint scanner which is located on its back panel. It has USB port and an sensor as well. Besides, the smartphone has a Hybrid Dual SIM tray, LTE, WiFi (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Hotspot up to 8 devices), 4.2, GPS, Accelerometer, Abient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Infrared Sensor, Compass, Gyroscope, and . The handset measures 145.5 x 71 x 7.45 mm and weighs 153 grams.

Honor 8 Smart

It has a 5.2 inch display and a aircraft grade aluminium alloy framed body. The phone boasts a 13 megapixel rear camera, armed with Sony IMX214 sensor. It also houses an 8 megapixel front camera. A 3000 mAh battery is in the phone that runs on Kirin 650 and EMUI 4.1 user interface.

Holly 3

The affordable Holly 3 comes with a 5.5 inch HD display. This 8.45 mm sleek handset weighs 168 grams with a 3100 mAh battery. The phone has the Android Marshmallow operating system and EMUI 4.1 user interface. The octa core Kirin 620 processor, which boasts maximum clock speed of 1.2 Ghzm runs this phone with 2 GB RAM.

The Holly 3 offers 16 GB of inbuilt storage and has a 128 GB micro SD card slot too. It has a 13 megapixel rear camera that has BSI CMOS sensor with F2.0 aperture and its 8 megapixel front camera also has F2.0 aperture.

Other than that Holly 3 offers WiFi (b/g/n), WiFi Direct, WiFi Hotspot, port, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G, accelerometer, proximity sensor, light sensor, compass and G sensor.
