Huawei has launched its next flagship, the Honor 7, with an innovative fingerprint scanner that does a lot of things apart from just unlocking the phone.
The fingerprint scanner is located at the back of the phone, just under its rear camera. According to reports, apart from the standard unlock function, the fingerprint scanner can also register gestures, launch the camera and even take photos.
The Honor 7 also has lot many highlights then the fingerprint scanner such as its Kirin 935 Chipset that has a 64-bit octa core processor with maximum clock speed of 2.2GHz. Plus it has 3GB RAM and comes in 16 GB and 64 GB internal storage variants. Both the variants have an expandable storage slot of 128 GB capacity.
The smartphone has a 5.2-inch display with full high definition Resolution and it comes preinstalled with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system with Huawei’s Emotion 3.1 user interface on top of it. The phone, which measures 143.2 x 71.9 x 8.5 mm, has a all-metal bodyand weighs 157 grams with a 3100 mAh battery that claims to offer 16 hours of 3G talktime.
The Huawei Honor 7 has 20 megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 Aperture and Sony sensor. As per the company, this camera has 0.1 second autofocus ability. For selfies, it offers an 8 megapixel front snapper. The phone will be released in single and dual SIM versions and all these versions will have NFC and 4G support. For connectivity, there is Bluetooth 4.1, dual band WiFi, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS, OTG and Micro USB 2.0 port.
The Honor 7 is scheduled to be released in China first on July 7. Its 16GB version with single SIM slot will cost around $320 or Rs 20,331 approximately while the dual SIM variant will cost $355 or Rs 22,555 approximately.
The 64GB storage version with dual SIM is said to cost $400 or Rs 25,414 approximately. It will be offered in silver, gold and dark gray colours.
