Apart from Motorola, Samsung, HTC and other OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturer), Huawei is also pushing its game in terms of software updates. The company has now confirmed the list of devices which will receive Android 7.0 Nougat in the first round of roll out. Android 7.0 Nougat will come with Huawei’s new EMUI 5.0 which the company boasted about a lot recently at the launch of Huawei Mate 9.
As per the list, Huawei Mate 8, Huawei P9, Huawei P9 Plus, Huawei P9 Lite, Huawei Nova, Huawei Nova Plus will receive the Nougat update sometime in first quarter 2017. However, the company didn’t give any date or timeline for the update also there has been no information about the update on older Huawei devices. 
Further, adding up to the information, Huawei has confirmed that Mate 8 and P9 are expected to get the Nougat update first.
Coming back to the EMUI 5.0, the Chinese handset manufacturer claims that the new UI is extremely intelligent and secure. One can perform 90% of the functions in just a matter of 2-3 clicks. Further, the added machine learning helps UI to understand the usage habits as well as enhance battery efficiency. The new EMUI 5.0 also come with features like ‘App Lock’.
