As we already know that Huawei is unlikely to unveil any new smartphones at the upcoming MWC 2018. Now the company has announced a separate event on March 27 in Paris and is expected to launch its flagship P-series smartphones.
Huawei has sent out the official media invite for the launch event on March 27 in Paris, France where it is likely to unveil the much anticipated P20 and P20 Plus smartphones. The invite shows a picture of the Eiffel Tower in Paris with three circles in the background indicating the triple camera system. At the bottom of the invite, there is caption “See moore with AI” which hints that the device that would likely be unveiled with a triple camera setup and also come with Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Huawei P20 series will include smartphones like Huawei P20, P20 Plus and P20 Lite. Just yesterday, one of the smartphones of P20 series- P20 Lite was certified by the FCC.
The FCC listing reveals that the P20 Lite will be measuring 148 x 70mm. The handset is a bit taller than the iPhone X that measures 143.6 x 70.9 mm. The P20 Lite may feature a 6-inch display. It will run on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system as per the listing. Further, it shows that the device will have a 2900mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. Other features that have been revealed through FCC listing are that it supports microSD card, Dual-SIM and Wi-Fi 802.11n. The rear side of the smartphone also features a vertically stacked triple camera setup certified by Leica.
Popular leakster Roland Quandt revealed recently that Emily, Charlotte and Anne are the codenames of Huawei P20, P20 Plus and P20 Lite smartphones respectively. Earlier leaks revealed that it the device will be supporting an aspect ratio of 19:9 and a screen Resolution of 1,080 x 2,280 pixels which in turn reveals that the handset will be sporting a notch like the iPhone X.
Apart from Huawei P20 Plus and Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Lite, the company is also working on P20 Pro smartphone that will feature triple-camera setup along with iPhone X-like notch. Coming to the specifications, the Huawei P20 and P20 Plus are said to be powered by the latest Kirin 970 processors, similar to what we have seen in the Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro. Both the smartphones could come 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage.

The Huawei P20 Pro will run on a more powerful Kirin 975 processor, which gives a 15 percent increased performance as compared to Kirin 970 chipset. The smartphone is said to feature 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and there will another variant that will come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
