HTC is quietly working on a Windows Phone 8.1 based smartphone dubbed as W8, according to EVLeaks. As per the technology focussed Twitter account, the HTC W8 smartphone is expected to feature the BoomSound speakers and the two UltraPixel camera and will be relased in the USA in the third quarter of this year.
The said HTC W8 smartphone is expected to arrive in the third quarter this year for the US based Verizon network. HTC plans to bring some of the smartphone features currently limited only to HTC Sense running Android devices.
HTC BoomSound technology which basically comprises built-in amplifiers and two stereo speakers. With tweaked bass and treble balance, the BoomSound promises distortion free loud volume. Apart from sound, HTC also plans to bring the UltraPixel imaging technology with the new DUO camera setup in the W8. While there are no images or confirmation about the HTC W8, we take the information with a grain of salt and eagerly look forward to HTC’s products.
