As expected, HTC has today announced the launch of two new smartphones, the HTC U11+ and U11 Life Android One smartphones. The HTC U11+ will be available in Asia and European market and in the UK it is available for GBP 699 (approx. Rs 59,864), while in the Europe it is priced at EUR 799 (approx. Rs 60,146). The HTC U11 Life will be available in two versions: one with Sense UI is priced at $349 and it will be available on November 3, while the Android One edition price and availability are not known at the moment.
HTC U11+
Starting with the flagship device, the HTC U11+ comes in Ceramic Black, Amazing Silver, and Translucent Black colour options. The Translucent option sports a semi-transparent rear panel, which gives a glimpse of the wireless charging coil and other components. Jumping straight to the specifications, the U11+ sports a bezel-less 6-inch Quad HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels along with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The phone is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Processor and it comes in two storage variants one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while the other sports a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The memory can be further expanded via micro SD card slot.

On the imaging front, the U11+ features a 12-megapixel UltraPixel rear camera with Aperture f/1.7, OIS, 1.4-micron pixel sensor, 4K recording, UltraSpeed autofocus. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel sensor with an 85-degree field of view, f/2.0 aperture. The phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with HTC Sense UI on top of it. The phone also comes with EDGE Sense feature, through which users can squeeze the phone to launch different features.
The phone is backed by a 3930mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and it also supports IP68 certification. On the connectivity front, the U11+ supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C port, GPS, GLONASS and no Headphone jack. The device measures 158.5 x 74.9 x 8.5 mm and weighs 188 grams.
HTC U11 Life
Coming to the U11 Life smartphone, the device comes in two versions: one with Sense UI and another one with Android One. The former is based on Android 7.1 Nougat, while the latter comes with Android 8.0 Oreo. The phone will be available in Sapphire Blue and Brilliant Black colour options. Talking about key specifications, the U11 Life sports a 5.2-inch Full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor along with Adreno 510 GPU. The device is backed by a 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 2TB via micro SD card slot.
On the imaging front, the U11 Life features a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and LED flash. For the front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. The phone is backed by a 2600mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. On the connectivity front, it supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS and USB Type-C port. The device also comes with HTC USonic with Active noise cancellation and HI-Res audio. It measures 149.09 x 72.9 x 8.1mm and weighs 142 grams.
