HTC has launched its new Salsa handset, which offers one-button access to Facebook. HTC Salsa will be available in India for Rs 22,000, which may vary from region to region depending upon local taxes.
It comes with a 3.4 inch touchscreen display offering 480×320 pixel resolution, and 800 MHz processor with 512 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM. Running on Android 2.2 Froyo mobile operating system, HTC Salsa provides one-touch access providing Facebook. That means once you’ve signed in to the Facebook using Salsa, all you have to do is press that dedicated button to share anything to your News Feed.
HTC Salsa touchscreen phone has a gravity sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and a 3.5 mm audio port to connect a pair of headphones.
Salsa has a 5 Megapixel camera at its back and features a front-facing VGA camera for video chat. The phone features Bluetooth 3.0 that will let you transfer files quickly over Bluetooth and WiFi (802.11 b/g/n). It also features a GPS Antenna to make use of location based services. Salsa has a good 1520 mAh battery that will allow longer hours of fun.
HTC Salsa is targeted at social media fanatics and those who wish for a touchscreen device but don’t want to spend more on it. In competition, HTC Salsa will fight against Samsung Galaxy S LCD 4GB GT-I9003 available for RS 20,000 and Motorola Defy for Rs 18,000 approximately.
