HTC has started the prebooking Processor of its upcoming One Mini Android smartphone in India. The device has been priced at Rs 35,054 and has been made available for prebooking by online retailer Infibeam. The device is similar in terms of look and feel as the HTC One but comes with a plastic body and lighter hardware specifications. The device is available for prebooking now and will start shipping October 11 onwards, which is when the retail availability of the device is also expected to start.
The HTC One Mini although has a plastic body, carries the same aesthetics as the HTC One but only smaller. The HTC One Mini comes with a 4.3-inch HD Super LCD2 touchscreen display with 1280×720 pixel resolution. The display has been constructed using Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for making it thinner and stronger. HTC has powered the One Mini with a dual-core 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 mobile Chipset with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB on-board storage but it has no memory card slot.
At the back of One Mini, there is a 4.1 megapixel UltraPixel camera with Autofocus and smart LED flash, that can sense and control brightness level based on the subject and light conditions. This camera can record full HD videos and also perform amazing tweaks through the camera feature called HTC Zoe. In the front, the One Mini has a 1.6 megapixel Backlit camera with 720p HD videos recording support.
The HTC One Mini runs Sense 5.0 layered on top of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The sound is handled by BoomSound stereo speakers in the front.
