Taiwanese handset maker, HTC is reportedly manufacturing the 2016 Nexus smartphone of Google. As per reports, the HTC Nexus 2016 smartphone will feature 3D Touch display like that of iPhone 6S.
GizmoChina, citing sources, also claimed that Google is planning to make the 3D Touch display a standard feature of Android devices.
The 3D Touch display technology enables the display to differentiate between a light and a hard touch to initiate a particular action like opening music or a messenger app. Apple Watch was the first device of the company to use this technology. Huawei’s Mate S too is armed with this display technology.
Xiaomi, Meizu, OPPO and Vivo too are also developing such pressure sensitive displays, the GizmoChina added.
Meanwhile, a render (see the above image) of an HTC smartphone has been published by Venute Beat which is said to be that of the purported HTC 10.
Tipster, Evan Blass who runs the Twitter account @evleaks, said that the HTC 10 may not be released with Windows 10 OS as expected earlier.
