HTC recently announced its first 720p native resolution 4.3 inch screen bearing HTC Rezound handset with Beats Audio technology. The would be the second smartphone to get the 720p HD native resolution. The HTC Edge was shown having a 4.7 inch display which makes it lie between the 5.3 inch display bearing Galaxy Note and 4.65 inch display bearing Galaxy Nexus.

HTC Edge will be powered with a quad-core Nvidia Tegra AP30 mobile processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. This Tegra 3 SoC will be coupled with 1 and will bring about 16 GB/32 GB onboard storage. There is no indication of the Beats Audio enhancements being added to this handset in the image at least.

Based on the capacitive buttons on the front panel of the handset, it is easy to state that this handset will come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and would be ready for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade. The Edge might also debut the HTC Sense 4.0 user interface.

For imaging, this smartphone will feature an 8 camera with flash and would be capable of recording 1080p HD video. The image does show a front facing camera usable for video calling. Number of HTC Content services might be bundled with this handset such as HTC Read bookstore, HTC Listen music store, and HTC Play gaming hub.
