Taiwanese handset maker, HTC has upped the ante in the mid-range mobile phone segment in India by launching its Desire 826 in the country for just Rs 25,990. The HTC Desire 826 will have to compete with many a good handsets including Samsung Galaxy Alpha, LG G2, Mi 4, Gionee Elife E7, and Sony Xperia Z1.
The HTC Desire 826 was first unveiled at the Consumer Electronic Show earlier in January this year. This smartphone has a huge 5.5 inch display and that too with full HD (1080p) resolution. Also, it comes with the latest Android 5.0.1 Lollipop operating system and has an octa core processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 615), Adreno 405 graphics processor, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory. There is an expandable storage slot as well that can accomodate a micro SD card of up to 128 GB.
This single SIM device said to have 4G connectivity but there is no word whether it has compatibility with the Indian networks or not. Anyway, it has 3G, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, WiFi, NFC, and GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS. The Desire 826 has a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 4 megapixel front camera. It is armed with a 2600 mAh battery.
