HTC has formally introduced yet another Desire series smartphone – Desire 516 Dual SIM. This new smartphone offers a 5-inch qHD display and is powered by quad-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon mobile chipset. Running the new HTC BlinkFeed and other Sense UI elements, the Desire 516 supports 3G network and has been introduced at an MRP of Rs 14,200.
HTC Desire 516 continues the Desire legacy but with Dual-SIM configuration for Indian market. The new Desire 516 offers a 5-inch touchscreen display with 540×960 pixel resolution. It is powered by a quad-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 mobile chipset, 1 GB RAM and 4 GB on-board storage. This core hardware helps to drive the HTC Sense goodies loaded Android.
HTC has packed 5 megapixel fixed focus camera with LED Flash at the back and the camera can also record 720p (HD) videos as well. In the front, it has a 2 megapixel camera for clicking self portraits. This dual SIM configuration supporting smartphone also offers WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 support. HTC has added a removable 1950 mAh battery promsing Talk time of up to 9 hours.
HTC Desire 516 is company’s response to the Motorola Moto G and rival smartphones in the sub Rs 15,000 segment.
