HTC has today announced the launch of its latest budget-centric Desire series in India. Dubbed as, Desire 12 and Desire 12+, the smartphones will be available for pre-order through HTC eStore from June 7 and it will be available from June 11 from both online and offline platforms. The HTC Desire 12 is priced at Rs 15,800 and HTC Desire 12+ comes with a price tag of Rs 19,790.
Both the smartphones come loaded with Cool Black and Warm Silver colour options. The major highlight of the smartphones is the Liquid Surface design at the back of both the smartphones. Jumping straight to the specifications, the Desire 12+ features 6.0-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The phone is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Processor along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via micro SD card slot.
On the camera front, the device bears a dual-rear camera with a combination of 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors, Phase-Detection Autofocus, BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture, Bokeh mode and LED flash. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with BSI sensor, f/2.0 Aperture and LED flash along with face detection.
The phone runs on 2965mAh battery and it runs on Android 8.0 Oreo, which is based on HTC Sense. On the connectivity front, the HTC Desire 12+ supports 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4 GHz), GPS, and Micro USB port.
The Desire 12 comes loaded with a 5.5-inch HD+ display running at a resolution of 1440×720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood, there is a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The phone is backed by a 2GB of RAM with 16GB onboard storage or 3GB of RAM with 32GB onboard storage. The memory can be further expanded up to 2TB via micro SD card slot.
In the photography department, the smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture, HDR, Panorama and LED flash. For the front, there is a 5-megapixel shooter with aperture f/2.4, BSI sensor and face detection.
The phone runs on 2730mAh battery and it runs on Android 8.0 Oreo, which is based on HTC Sense. On the connectivity front, the HTC Desire 12 supports 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM, BlueTooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4 GHz), GPS, and micro USB port.
