HTC had introduced the new BoomSound audio enhancement with the HTC One smartphone that featured dual stereo speakers in the front. This amplified audio experience can be taken to the next level with the new HTC accessory – BoomBass. The Bluetooth speaker from HTC is compatible with the HTC One family of devices featuring BoomSound. The new HTC BoomBass is a cuboid speaker expected to arrive in October and there is no word on pricing yet.
HTC introduced the BoomSound feature as amplified sound experience to drive the dual stereo speakers in the front of HTC One. Following that, HTC has a number of devices featuring BoomSound. In the official press release, HTC noted that BoomBass will work with the HTC One family. However, the interesting fact is that the Butterfly S smartphone also has BoomSound integrated.
The cube shaped BoomBass speaker supports Bluetooth 3.0+EDR that can be paired with the HTC One family smartphone with a Near Field Communication chip. The BoomBass has a slide-out base that can be used to rest the smartphone.
HTC has packed a 1200 mAh battery inside the BoomBass and it promises to offer about nine hours of music playback. The BoomBass Bluetooth speaker can be charged over USB but the battery is not removable so you can’t add a higher power battery.
HTC plans to make the BoomBass Bluetooth speaker available sometime in October this year.
