HTC Bolt gets certified by FCC

HTC is rumoured to skip the 3.5 mm headphone jack as per the latest image renders.

A new HTC phone with model number 2PYB200 has been certified by FCC which, reports claim, could be the much rumoured HTC Bolt. Last week a bunch of images and specification details of HTC Bolt had come to light.

The biggest surprise, as was revealed in last week’s renders, was the omission of 3.5 mm headphone jack in the Bolt. If it happens, then HTC will join the league of Apple, LeEco and Motorola who have recently brought their latest devices without the audio jack. However, HTC Bolt does not seem to have any radical design changes; it has a lot of resemblance with HTC 10 especially from the front.

HTC Bolt is expected to come with a 5.5 inch 1080p display. It is likely to have an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 and Adreno 430 GPU. This and GPU will be coupled with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The device is also expected to feature HTC’s famous Boom Sound audio technology.

In the camera department, it is likely to sport an 18 megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, video support, dual-LED flash. In the front, it will feature an 8 megapixel shooter. For connectivity, HTC Bolt will offer a USB Type-C port which most likely be also used for headphones for audio output. Apart from that, it is expected to come with LTE, NFC, Bluetooth, and WiFi 802.11ac etc. The smartphone is said to be coming with 7.0 Nougat.
