HP has today announced a new workstation dubbed as Z2 mini for the Indian market. The device will be available in the country from January 25th onwards at a starting price of Rs 72,000.
The company boasts that the new workstation is only 2.3-inch high, and is 90 per cent smaller than a traditional business-class tower. The new device is designed for users in Computer Aided Design (CAD) and other compute-intensive industries.
HP says that the new workstation is shorter than a cup of espresso but can run Windows 10 Pro or Linux operating systems quite effectively. The device comes with equipped with Intel Xenon Processor coupled with NVIDIA professional graphics. The workstation also supports HP Turbo Drive for handling large files faster.
HP has created custom designed fans and a cooling system for whisper-quiet acoustics. The company boasts that the Z2 mini workstation is 63 per cent quieter than an HP business-class mini PC.
