The much hyped HP Elite X3 Windows 10 smartphone was first unveiled earlier this February at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. Now the Elite X3 smartphone is available for purchase in US at $799 (Rs 53,161 approximately), which also include Desk Dock.
The HP Elite X3 smartphone is listed on the HP India website and thus it is expected to be launched in India as well.
The Elite X3 features a 5.96-inch WQHD (1440×2560 pixels) AMOLED Display with Gorilla Glass 4 and anti reflective coating. The smartphone is powered by a 2.15 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, which is paired with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone runs on Windows 10 operating system and is backed up by a 4150 mAh non-removable battery.
The Elite X3 offers 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up-to 2TB via micro SD card. The smartphone boasts a 16-megapixel rear snapper with LED flash and an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. The smartphone has dual bio-metric Iris scanner, and a fingerprint scanner. Elite X3 also offers 256-bit key full disk encryption, secure boot, 128-bit key unified image encryption.
Besides, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC, and USB 3.0 Type-C (USB-C). The handset measures 83.5 x 7.8 x 161.8 mm and is water and dust resistant (IP67 certified). The Sensors include Accelerometer, Proxemity, Ambient light Sensor, Hall effect and Gyro sensor.
Moreover, HP Elite X3 smartphone comes with three accessories – HP Desk Dock, HP Lap Dock and HP Mobile Extender. The Desk Dock, which is quite similar to Microsoft’s Continuum display dock, allows the Elite X3 to be used as a computer. Just put the X3 in the dock and then connect it to a larger monitor and enjoy your phone’s content on a big screen.
HP Elite X3 Lap Dock is designed as an ultra-slim, near border less 12.5″ diagonal display notebook form factor that connects with the HP Elite x3 to achieve a seamless Windows Continuum computing experience.
The Mobile Extender is even more useful. The Mobile Extender has a 12.5 inch full HD display, a keyboard and a 47 Whr battery. Of-course it has speakers and ports like a laptop. It is basically a laptop like device but it doesn’t have processor, RAM or storage. Instead it uses the Elite X3’s Chipset to use.
