A Windows 8 tablet from Hewlett Packard is in the making and it is expected to hit the market within a month.
Rajiv Srivastava, president of printing and personal systems, HP India, said to The Mobile Indian, “HP will be launching a 10 inch Windows 8 based tablet in January next year.”
He didn’t reveal the price of the tablet but said it will be a mid-range device, and for HP a mid-range device is something between Rs 15,000-Rs 25,0000.
PC major Hewlett Packard had readied its Windows 8 tablet ElitePad 900 way back in July, according to a commercial released by the company.
In the advertisement, the tablet was shown having an aluminium like back with a black strip indicating the antenna.
The new tablet is expected to house an Intel Atom processor, 1280 x 800 Pixel Gorilla Glass-coated display and 2 GB of onboard memory.
