At the Huawei Developer’s Conference (HDC) 2019, Huawei sub-brand Honor has introduced the Honor Vision TV and Honor Vision TV Pro. The TVs run on the latest HarmonyOS interface that Huawei announced last week and will be available for a starting price of 3,799 yuan (approx. Rs 38,200).
The Honor Vision TV and Vision TV Pro come with a 55-inch display that has a 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, 400nits brightness and 178-degree viewing angle. Both TVs are powered by the28mm-based Honghu 818 quad-core intelligent Chipset with two Cortex-A53, two Cortex-A53 cores and 600MHz Mali-G51MP4 GPU. It has 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage on the Honor Vision TV and 32GB storage on the Vision TV Pro.
The front panel comes with TUV Rheinland certification for protection against blue light. The display is housed inside a metal frame and offers a screen-to-body ratio of 94 percent. It equips Motion Estimate and Motion Compensation, High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDR), Super-Resolution, Noise Reduction, Dynamic Contrast Improvement, Auto Color Management and Local Dimming.
The TVs come running Huawei’s latest HarmonyOS offers mutual security protection, a Deterministic Latency Engine, Inter-Process Communication and reduced åpp response latency. It has a magazine-style UI, Honor Magic-link for screen-casting and smart home functionalities. Honor says the TVs can boot up in 2 seconds and can wake up fro standby in 1 second.
For audio, the Pro model comes with six 10W speakers while the standard variant features four 10W units. The speakers are enabled with a 1.6L sound cavity, Huawei Histen surround sound, Hi-Res Wireless Audio and Bluetooth 5.0 support. There are six far-field microphones inside each TV that will work with Huawei’s YoYo voice assistant that will work for a range of 5 meters.
The Vision TVs features a 3D arc design with 6.9mm thickness and diamond pattern patterns at the back. The Pro model comes with a 1080p pop-up camera which can be used for video calls. There’s a HiSilicon Hi1103 Wi-Fi chip with support for 160MHz bandwidth, 2.4G/5GHz dual-frequency and offering download speeds of up to 1.7Gbps.
Other connectivity options include three HDMI ports, one USB 3 port, an AV port, DTMB, s/PDIF and ethernet. The TVs are bundled with a remote and can be used with a smartphone as well.
The Honor Vision TV and Vision TV Pro will be available for asking prices of 3,799 yuan (approx. Rs 38,200) and 4799 yuan (approx. Rs 48,300) respectively from August 15 in China.
