Huawei’s sub-brand, Honor has released couple of teasers of its upcoming ‘Honor Note 8’ smartphone on its official Weibo account.
As per teaser the smartphone will have a 2K (QHD) display. As of now, the company has not revealed any other information about the device. However, as per Gizmochina, the recently spotted smartphone with model name EDI-DL00 aka Honor V8 Max is likely to be launched as Honor Note 8.
Recently, EDI-DL00 aka Honor V8 Max (now Honor Note 8) was spotted on the website of Chinese certification agency, TENAA.
As per earlier reports, the upcoming smartphone will have a 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage variant and another 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage model. The 3GB variant will be priced at 1999 Yuan, Rs 20,112 approximately while 4GB variant will be priced at 2299 Yuan, Rs 23,130 approximately. Both the models will also have option to expand the storage by up-to 128GB via a micro SD card and also said to feature USB Type-C port.
As per TENAA listing, the Honor V8 Max (now Honor Note 8) has a 6.6-inch Quad HD (2K) display, a 2.3 GHz Kirin 950 octa-core processor, 3GB/4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB of internal storage, 128GB expandable storage slot, a 13 Megapixel rear camera, an 8 megapixel front camera, a huge 4400 mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor on the rear. It is also said to have a metal unibody.
The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with EMIU 4.1 running on top and the images reveal that it has a Gold and Silver colour versions. Connectivity options of the device include dual SIM, 4G-LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS/A-GPS. The phone is 178.8 mm tall, 90.9 mm wide and 7.2 mm thin and it weighs 219 grams, according to the TENAA listing.
