Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has announced the launch of the latest Honor 9 Lite. The smartphone comes with a price tag of 1,199 Yuan (approx. Rs 11,667) for 3GB RAM + 32GB storage option, the 4GB RAM + 32GB of storage is priced at 1,499 Yuan (approx. Rs 14,586) and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage is priced at 1,799 Yuan (approx. Rs 17,506). The smartphone will be available for purchase in China starting from December 26 and it comes in Navy Blue, Seagull Gray, Magic Nightfall and Pearl White colour options.
The major highlight of the smartphone is the four cameras and bezel-less 18:9 display. The device is a toned version of its flagship, Honor 9, which was introduced in July this year. The phone as a fair share of resembling in terms of design with other Honor smartphones.
Coming to the specifications, the Honor 9 Lite features a 5.65-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a screen Resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and it bears an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone is powered by company’s in-house HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor, which is present in Honor 9i, Huawei Enjoy 7s and Honor 7X among others.
The phone is backed by a 3GB and 4GB of RAM along with 32GB and 64GB of internal storage. The memory can be further expandable up to 256GB via micro SD card slot. On the camera front, the phone features dual cameras on the back and front. The phones come with a 13-megapixel primary and 2-megapixel secondary sensor on both rear and front panels. The Sensors are equipped with PDAF, 3D beauty, bokeh effect and more.

The Honor 9 Lite is backed by a 3000mAh battery and it runs on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo, which is based on EMUI 8.0. There is a fingerprint sensor at the back panel and on the connectivity front, it supports 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, Dual-SIM and Micro USB port. The phone measures 151 mm × 71.9 mm × 7.60 mm and weighs 149 grams.
