Honor 8X with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display, Kirin 710 SoC launched in India

The new Honor smartphone comes loaded with a glass design and it features a large 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels along with a 91 percent screen-to-body ratio and 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has today announced the launch of its latest mid-budget smartphone in India. Dubbed as Honor 8X, the smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 14,999 for the 4GB + 64GB storage variant, Rs 16,999 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage option and Rs 18,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB model. The smartphone will be available at Amazon starting from October 24.

The smartphone will be available in Blue, Black, Pink, and Red colour options. This is the first Honor smartphone in India that is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 710 processor. The phone is the successor of the Honor 7X, which was launched in India last year at a price tag of Rs 12,999.

The phone is powered by Kirin 710 coupled with ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. With this, the smartphone will face a stiff competition with the likes of Realme 2 Pro, Xiaomi Mi A2, and Nokia 6.1 Plus.

The device is available in 4GB/6GB RAM along with 64GB/128GB storage options. The memory can be further expanded up to 400GB via card slot. For optics, the Honor 8X employs a dual-camera setup at the rear that comes with a combination of 20-megapixel primary sensor with flash, f/1.8 and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with 480 fps slow-mo recording. For the front camera, Honor 8X has a 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture and beautify.

The device runs on 8.1 Oreo, which is based on the company’s custom user interface EMUI 8.2. The smartphone is backed by a 3650mAh battery. Connectivity option includes VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 and 5GHz), 5, GPS, and port. It measures 160.4 × 76.6 × 7.8 mm and weighs 175 grams.
