Huawei’s sub-brand, Honor will unveil the Honor 8 smartphone on July 11 instead of July 5 as rumoured earlier. It will be the successor of Honor 7.
Zhao George, president of the Chinese company’s Honor business has shared a new teaser, as per which Honor 8 will be launched on July 11. The event will be held at the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center in China.
The poster shows two circles which hint at the dual camera setup in the Honor 8. We have already seen the dual camera on the TENAA listing also of Honor 8. As per TENAA listing, Honor 8 features a 5.2-inch full HD (1080p) display and is armed with 2.3GHz Kirin 950 octa-core processor.
There will be four different variants of the smartphone- 3GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage, 4GB with 32GB of internal storage, 4GB with 64GB internal of storage and the top model with 2K display, 4GB RAM with 128GB storage. The smartphone also has the option to expand the storage up to 128GB via microSD card. The Honor 8 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow wrapped under EMUI 4.1. It houses a fingerprint scanner and an Infrared port as well.
On the camera front, it has dual 12-megapixel camera module at the back and an 8-megapixel selfie snapper on the front. The handset measures 145.5 × 71.0 × 7.45 mm and weighs around 153 grams.
