Honor 7X was launched for Indian market last year in December. Now the smartphone has received a price cut in India by Rs 1,000. To recall, the Honor 7X was launched in India at a starting price of Rs 12,999 for the 32GB storage model while the 64GB storage model at Rs 15,999.
Now after the price cut, the smartphone is available for Rs 11,999 and Rs 14,999 for the 32GB and 64GB variants respectively. The smartphone is an Amazon exclusive in India.
Honor 7X recently received Android Oreo update with EMUI 8.0 interface in India. The update brings Google’s Autofill API and picture-in-picture mode to the Honor 7X. Also included in the update is a new face unlock feature that seems to be the norm these days. There’s a new floating navigation dock that allows users to make use of their device from anywhere on the screen. The update also redesigns the Settings menu and the phone manager and brings quick shortcut menus from App icons in the home screen itself. Other EMUI 8.0 features include the ability to link up to two devices on Bluetooth and a new way to delete pictures and videos from the default gallery app.
Honor 7X boasts a metal unibody and a 5.93-inch full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 659 2.36GHz octa-core processor, along with Mali T830-MP2 and can hold up to a 256 GB micro SD card in its expandable storage slot. The Honor 7X is backed by a 4GB of RAM and it comes in 32GB and 64GB of internal storage options. The smartphone runs on Android Oreo operating system and has the Huawei Emotion UI 8.0 (EMUI) user interface. A 3340 mAh non-removable battery is inside the phone with Fast charging technology which claims to offer up to 21 hours of talk time.
