Honor has announced a new 4G smartphone, called Honor 5, in China. The Honor 5 comes in Black, White and Gold colour variants and it is priced at 599 yuan (approximately Rs 6,019). It will be available for sale in China from 2nd August.
The Honor 5 features a 5-inch HD IPS (1280 x 720 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor and Mali-T720 GPU coupled with 2GB RAM. It has 16GB of internal memory and has a micro SD card of 128GB capacity. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and has the EMUI 3.1 Lite user interface on top of it. There is a 2200 mAh battery in this phone.
The Honor 5 comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with a dual tone LED flash light and a 2-megapixel selfie camera. Besides, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/A-GPS, and a Micro USB port. The handset measures 143.8 x 72 x 8.9 mm and weighs around 160 grams.
Currently there is no information about its launch in India.
