Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) on Wednesday has announced to open the booking for its upcoming 160cc motorcycle Honda XBlade. The bike was unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo along with the XBlade Adventure, which is yet to be announced. Expected at the price tag of Rs 79,000 (ex-showroom), the company will start the delivery of the XBlade from the middle of the next month.
Meanwhile, Honda has not shared any information regarding the booking amount of the bike, but similar to other brands one should expect it to be Rs 5,000. The motorcycle is available in five colour options – Matte Marvel Blue Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Frozen Silver, Pearl Spartan Red and Matte Marshal Green Metallic. It is launched against the Yamaha FZS and Suzuki Gixxer in the Indian market.
Based on the CB Hornet 160R, the machine is powered by a single cylinder, air-cooled engine with the displacement of 162.7cc. It is based on the Honda Eco Technology (HET), which is capable of generating maximum power of 13.9 hp at 8500 rpm and peak torque of 13.9 Nm at 6000 rpm. The bike is mated to a five-speed transmission.
The bike runs on the 80/110 R17 alloy wheels with disk brakes at the frontand 130/70 R17 drum breaks on the rear. XBlade is equipped with the full-digital console with gear position indicator, hazard switch, LED tail light and LED headlamp with daytime running light.
