Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India have today announced the launch of a new high-end variant of its automatic scooter Dio. Dubbed as Honda Dio Deluxe, the scooter comes with a price tag of Rs 53,292 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and it comes in Dazzle Yellow Metallic, Matte Marshal Green Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black and Matte AxisGrey Metallic colour options.
The variant is approximately Rs 3,000 more than the base variant of the scooter. The vehicle now comes loaded with new features like LED headlamp and a fully digital instrument console. The scooter also comes with four-in-one ignition key, which was earlier available with Honda Grazia. The Dio Deluxe also get an optional charging socket under the seat and it comes gold-finished rims.
Other than this, the internals remains the same. The Honda Dio Deluxe runs on a 109 CC single-cylinder engine that gives a power of 8 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 8.91Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a variable transmission unit and the scooter comes with a top speed of 83 kmph. The Dio Deluxe uses 130 mm drum brakes at both ends along with Honda’s patented combi-braking system (CBS). Through this feature, it applies both the brakes when the rider presses the rear brake lever. The scooter comes with a mileage of 60 kmpl and has a fuel tank capacity of 5.3 litres.
