Nokia’s smartphones were thehot topic of debate during the Mobile World Congress 2017, however, HMD Global is yet to make them available in the markets. But it seems that the company is planning to launch its latest devices in 120 markets around the globe at the same time.

According to NokiaPowerUser, HMD is stocking the phone before the big release date in Q2 of 2017. “HMD has ambitious plans to release Nokia 3, 5 and 6 in 120 markets at the same time in Q2 2017. This is ambitious because HMD is de facto a start-up, though it has support from Nokia and Foxconn,” the company said in a statement.

Interestingly, Ajay Mehta, Vice President HMD Global, told the Mobile Indian earlier during the trade show that it will hit the Indian shores sometime in Q2 2017. “All the smartphones, as well as the Nokia 3310, will hit the Indian shores sometime in Q2 2017, probably by June.” The brand will opt for both online and offline channels for the Indian market.

He also mentioned the possibility of Nokia manufacturing smartphones specifically for Indian consumers although that again depends on the customer feedback. He said – “India is one of the most important markets for us and is probably the biggest opportunity we have.”
