Hero MotoCrop has hiked prices of bikes as well as scooters. The bikes and scooters of Hero will now cost Rs 625 more. The ace two-wheeler maker of India has said that the price hike has been implemented with immediate effect.
As per the company, the hike has been implemented to offset the cost of rising input costs including the price of commodities.
Recently, Bajaj as well as TVS had increased the prices of some of its bikes. While some Bajaj two-wheelers saw price hike of up to Rs 2,000, TVS has slashed some of its bike prices while increasing price of Apache RR 310 by as much as Rs 8,000.
Meanwhile, the company is reportedly planning to launch Hero XPulse 200 probably in the second half of this year. Showcased at the auto expo, The design of the Xpulse is very similar to and inspired by its younger sibling Impulse. It is powered by a 200cc liquid cooled, single cylinder engine, which is capable of producing maximum power of 18.1 bhp at 8000 RPM with 17.1 Nm of peak torque at 6000 RPM and mated to a five-speed transmission.
